Richard St.Ofle
Richard St.Ofle, is chasing and being chased, drawn forward by stories whispered from the flickering light of a projector, from the pages of books worn soft for decades, from the quiet spaces between words spoken. Spent years untangling language, peeling the layers of film and rhetoric at UC Berkeley, graduated with highest honors, then dove deeper into the glittering machine of Hollywood. Carving stories at USC, filling pages with the fever of knowing and unknowing.
A stint on the Fox lot with the TV show Bones.
Then teaching.
Standing before students, hands in the air, breaking apart story structure. A professor, a mentor, a writer still, always, with one foot in academia and the other in the wild.
And always on the pull of the next thing, sometimes half-formed but always burning hot.
Make something.
Say something.
Again.
